Knitting and Crocheting for Seniors

The Active Seniors group at the Jewish Community Center of Northern New Jersey offers “What Binds Us: A Weekly Knitting & Crocheting Circle” on Tuesdays, May 10, 17, and 24, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The weekly group can help participants learn to knit or crochet, pick up new tricks, or share tricks with the group. Additional thread will be available free of charge for participants. Knitting and crochet needles will be available for sale for $5. Roberta Abrams, community volunteer and teacher with KnitTapestry in Waldwick, will be on hand May 17 to teach beginners. All levels of experience are welcome. Proof of vaccinations or a negative covid test within 48 hours of the program is required to participate in all programs. Masks are mandatory for indoor activities.

The JCCNNJ Seniors program is made possible in part through support from the Jewish Federation of Northern NJ and the Bergen County Division of Senior Services.
