Knitting Ninjas yarnbomb the town of Lanarkshire in a stunning Easter display

A Lanarkshire town is having an Easter egg feast thanks to knitting ninjas and their trusty needles.

The Strathaven Combat Crochet and Knitting Ninjas adorned the city with colorful displays.

Everything from mailboxes to decks and railings was bombarded with all things Easter.

There are bunnies and beanies galore thanks to the dedicated group – with the public even encouraged to take home some of the handicrafts.

DIY artisans describe themselves as a “group of artisans who hope to make people smile when they see their work.”

Residents were invited to take home some of the crafts

They wrote: “We hope you enjoyed seeing our Easter Yarn Bomb we set up yesterday.

“Thank you to the dedicated little group of ninja knitters and crocheters who work so hard on these displays throughout the year.

“We are already fully into our next project and would love to welcome anyone who would like to get involved. This one is for those who ‘only’ know how to knit or crochet a square or straight rows.”

Local mailboxes have been renovated by ninjas

Their fabulous work has received praise.

One resident posted: “Thank you all again for our fantastic Easter display – you are all amazing.”

Another added: “Gorgeous. Thank you for making Common Green so beautiful.”

And one added: “Wonderful as always no matter what you all do.”

A colorful Easter display brightened up the town

It’s not the first time that knitting ninja struck – they repeatedly decorated the city at various events.

Their poppy show last November raised £433.98 for Poppyscotland.

Thousands of individual poppies, hand-knit or crocheted, made up displays across the city.
