Tom Daley’s son tells him to ‘stop knitting’ | Entertainment

Tom Daley’s son begs him to stop knitting.

The Olympic diver loves making woolen clothes for four-year-old Robbie – who he has with husband Dustin Lance Black – but admitted his enthusiasm isn’t always shared by the little boy.

He said: “I love doing stuff for my son Robbie.

“I made him so many sweaters and cardigans.

“It got to a point where sometimes I get the needles out and he’s like, ‘Daddy, no more knitting.’

“But he’s been asking me for a hat for a while, so that’s my next project. »

Tom can’t wait to teach his son his skills and thinks it’s a quest all kids should learn.

He said, “I can’t wait to teach Robbie how to knit. He wants to but as he is only four years old, I don’t think he has the dexterity yet.

“I would love to learn to knit to be part of the after-school program.

“It’s such a great thing for kids to learn – to get them to do something with their hands, to make something themselves.”

The 28-year-old sportsman dreams of one day showing off his merchandise professionally.

He said, “I am excited about the possibilities that knitting and crocheting can bring.

“One day, I would like to have my own Fashion Week show, but above all I want to pass on my passion for knitting, bring people back to the joys of slow fashion and do things for themselves.

But first, Tom must persuade Lance to give more space in their house to his hobby.

He told Prima magazine, “I would love to have my own craft room.

“I have a stash of sons in my closet and I kind of took over the kitchen table, much to my husband’s dismay.”
