Weekends: Hot Sauce, Chili, Cows, Knitting, Music and More in Northern RI

North, RI – What makes you happy in Northern Rhode Island?

The weekend arrives, and with it, events ranging from art exhibitions and performances to farmers markets and quiz nights. Whatever you do, there’s bound to be something going on this weekend here in Northern Rhode Island.

Are you a fan of knitting? Join some hens and work your craft outside on Saturday for Knit in Public Day. Venues are open for plenty of outdoor and indoor music this weekend, including Johnny’s Victory Diner, Lindy’s Tavern and Hill’s.

Is classical music more your style? The Grace Note Farm Chamber Music Festival continues this weekend with performances on Saturday and Sunday.

For those who prefer more active and competitive recreation, head to Chapman’s Food & Drink for a Friday night cornhole tournament. Stop by Cady’s Tavern for a Friday night bike show, or let your taste buds do the work during Saturday hot sauce tasting or Sunday chili cooking.

This week, bring the family for an evening at Wright’s Dairy Farm. Pet the cows and enjoy live music, seafood and ice cream at the premier event, scheduled once a month for the rest of the summer.

However you spend your time, we hope you enjoy these summer weekends while they last and discover these great local stops.
