Win a pair of tickets to The Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace, London

The Knitting & Stitching Show takes place at Alexandra Palace, London, from 6-9 October 2022, and we have five pairs of tickets worth £37.00 per pair to give away.

Each autumn, London’s iconic venue fills with colour, creativity and inspiration as thousands of artisans gather for the UK’s largest textile arts, crafts and design event. The knitting and sewing fair is the perfect place to learn new skills, and there are hundreds of hands-on workshops to choose from, led by the UK’s top tutors. Workshops are designed for all levels of sewing, from complete beginners to experts, and offer every textile craft imaginable, from silversmithing and weaving to knitting and embroidery.

There are Creative Living Theater sessions, demonstrations and runway shows by sewing stars on TV and social media, conscious knitting and crocheting in The Knitting Lounge and a product stage showcasing new products.

There’s the shopping, of course, with hundreds of specialty craft retailers under one roof, from big name brands to hand-picked craft companies. Why not soak up the atmosphere with a glass of bubbly at the show’s Prosecco Bar, try something tasty to eat at one of the many food stalls on site, or bring your own lunch and take a break from the one of the seated picnic areas.

Galleries of internationally renowned textile artists and groups are always an inspiring highlight of the Knitting & Stitching Show. This year’s show features exhibits from Aran Illingworth, Archana Pathak, Maggie Scott, Marcia Bennett-Man, The Group 62 to 60, Vivienne Beaumont and Jess Blaustein, the 2022 winner of The Textile Fine Arts Award, supported by the Open College of the Arts. The Embroiderers’ Guild will host an exhibition of items from its collection and there will be a gallery of winning quilts from this year’s competition The Quilt Festival.

The Royal School of Needlework, which is the international center of excellence for the art of hand embroidery, will celebrate its 150th anniversary at the show with fun activities around the site.

Work by students selected from fashion, textile and embroidery graduation fairs at colleges and universities nationwide will be featured in the Knitting & Stitching Show Graduate Showcase, in association with the Embroiderers Guild . The showcase celebrates emerging couture talent and provides a platform for the country’s most innovative newly qualified designers.

Free shuttles run to the show from Wood Green and Alexandra Palace stations every 20-30 minutes.
